How to fall in love with your sacred femininity
In the film ‘Wild Woman’, Antonia Wiersma shares her journey with self-acceptance, exploring sexuality and femininity through its many diverse expressions, and living attuned to the wisdom of nature’s cycles.
‘Wild Woman’ is a conversation that highlights how empowering it can be when we’re guided to come back into relationship with our bodies and their sacred nature, as a radical resistance to the burden of shame that is so widespread in our mainstream culture, particularly for women.
Sonia’s story: producing food, supporting community and regenerating nature
'Woman, Mother, Farmer: caring for land and community' is a conversation with agroecological farmer Sonia Viridiana Castro Pérez, who established a Community Supported Agriculture project at Coolkelure Farm in rural West Cork, Ireland, after moving there from Mexico.
Sonia speaks of her journey with nature-friendly farming, the power of community and direct exchange, the joy of feeding her family with home-grown produce and her experiences of farming as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated sphere. This is a story of care and nourishment of the whole: family, community and land.
How can we learn with nature rather then about nature?
Most students learn only about nature inside lecture rooms and behind computer screens. How can learning also be an embodied experience? How can we learn with nature, in nature, through nature and for nature? What might this mean for how we care for our world in an era of anthropogenic crisis?
In ‘Learning with Nature‘ Reineke van Tol shares her insights into relational and embodied learning outside of the classroom while we witness a group of students as they experience the radically transformative potential of learning outdoors, as part of a course run by the university.
Conversation with a regenerative farmer
In Francine's garden you can harvest your own vegetables, buy plants and join workshops. With Francine we talked about what being a farmer taught her about her connection with nature, how the experience changed her and what gives her hope.
Valuing the work of farmers: building solidarity in our communities
This short documentary explores how we can build equity, care and financial security into our local food systems. Following the stories of four women farmers on small-scale organic CSA (community-supported agriculture) farms in the Netherlands, we are taken into a discussion about livelihoods, labour, economy, our relationship to nature, and how to respond to the looming crises of our time. By turning our attention to the projects on our doorsteps, we can all play a role in supporting the production of nutritious and delicious organic food in a way that doesn’t cause harm to people and planet.
